CAGE Singer Talks About His Guest Appearance On EMPIRES OF EDEN Album
July 24, 2010Singer Sean Peck of San Diego metallers CAGE is among the musicians who have recorded guest appearances on "Reborn in Fire", the recently released album from EMPIRES OF EDEN — the brainchild of PAINDIVISION/ex-DUNGEON guitarist Stu Marshall.
Video footage of Peck and Marshall talking about their collaboration can be viewed below.
Commented Stu: "Sean was one of the guys I approached for the album after being a huge fan of his band CAGE. His vocal range is something to really hear as the guy has one of the most intense and expressive voices in metal music today. The other great thing was his ability to compose material. I sent him a song that was really aggressive and he was able to rearrange the parts as he saw a best fit.
"Sean's song 'Total Devastation' is definitely the heaviest track on the CD and pure, kick-in-the-face screaming heavy metal."
A total of eight singers are featured on "Reborn in Fire", including Steve Grimmett (GRIM REAPER, LIONSHEART, ONSLAUGHT),Zak Stevens (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, MACHINES OF GRACE, ex-SAVATAGE),Mike Vescera (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, LOUDNESS, OBSESSION) and Australian vocalists Louie Gorgievksi, Chris Ninni and Mike Zoias.
"Reborn in Fire" was mixed and mastered at Frontiers Studio in Sydney, Australia.
Released on July 16 via 7Hard Records, "Reborn in Fire" "delivers an epic and aggressive power metal assault in the style of AVANTASIA and the collaborative genius of AYREON," according to a press release.
EMPIRES OF EDEN's debut album was a massive success in Japan, released by Rubicon Records in July 2009.
